TechAbility started in 2018 by Anita Gover after seeing that there was a lack of quality Technology support for small to medium sized organisations in the disability, aged care, community and non for profit sector. Anita Gover
CEO, Principal Consultant and Senior Project Manager
Anita is the founder and CEO of TechAbility. She has over 20 years’ experience in IT, having worked in various roles in financial services and risk management before moving into IT consulting which exposed her to industries such as government, education, retail, social enterprises and non-profits. After 10 years in senior corporate IT roles, Anita was looking to bring her years of technology experience to help organisations with purpose and she founded TechAbility.
Anita is a mum of a son with Down Syndrome. Through her experience of working with NDIS Providers, she identified a lack of quality technology solutions and support for this sector. Leading the TechAbility team, Anita leverages her personal insights as an NDIS self-manager with her years of technology experience to empower organisations to use technology to its full advantage.

Alis Kevorkian
Project Coordinator and Trainer
Alis is a Project Coordinator and Trainer at TechAbility, having joined the team in 2020. She has nearly 15 years of experience in customer service and business management roles in a diversity of sectors from hospitality and travel to the non profit sector. Alis has a passion for process automation and has extensive software knowledge spanning an impressive range of finance, project management, HR, CRM and NDIS systems.
Alis is very committed to the social purpose sector, helping to found and run a local volunteer organisation that assisted Syrian refugees to settle into Sydney’s northern beaches. She has also volunteered for an organisation supporting vulnerable children in Armenia.

Melanie Kassar
Project Manager
Melanie is a Project Manager at TechAbility, having joined the team in 2023. She has over 20 years of experience in IT project management, quality assurance, business analysis and business management across industries ranging from telecommunications to government. Melanie previously completed a Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification and has strong analysis and problem solving skills.
Melanie stepped into the Disability sector nearly four years ago and has worked with two big NDIS providers both as a support worker and in head office roles. She leverages this extensive understanding of the NDIS landscape to support clients to find and implement the best technology solutions for their unique businesses.

Shayne McGuiness
Consultant
Shayne is a Consultant at TechAbility, having joined the team in 2021. She has 10 years of experience in senior roles in technology, data science, remediation and analytics projects in the Big 4 banks. Shayne is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Project Manager (AgilePM), Scrum Master (SMC) and PRINCE2 Practitioner and has a flair for problem solving and business process and systems improvement.
Shayne’s connection to the Disability sector developed from her understanding and advocacy of invisible illnesses, having previously experienced an invisible illness herself. She now leverages this prior experience, along with her remarkable talent for all things data, systems and process related, for the benefit of TechAbility and its clients.

Caroline Upsall
Communications and Project Manager
Caroline is a Communications and Project Manager and joined TechAbility in 2020. She has 15 years of learning & development, communications and project management experience, holding senior roles for over a decade in a Big 4 professional services organisation. After taking a career break to raise her two daughters, Caroline moved into the for-purpose sector, leveraging her strong communications and management skills.
Caroline has a sibling with Down Syndrome and understands the challenges and needs within the sector. She is passionate about empowering people with a disability to have a voice and for more equitable representation and inclusion of all people within our communities.

Brian Duff
Business Relationship Manager
Brian is a Business Relationship Manager at TechAbility, having joined the team in 2023. He has a broad background reaching into a range of industries from manufacturing and engineering to publishing and recruitment. Brian has worked with organisations of varying sizes, in B2B and B2C environments, and is adept at building relationships with C-level stakeholders, peak bodies and governments.
Brian moved into the Disability and Aged Care sector in 2014, with Australia’s biggest consumer information sites, then a large NDIS software provider and a national role with an NDIS provider. Brian’s passion for the Disability sector and real-world business background brings valuable insights to organisations of any size and maturity.

Jen Galama
Senior Project Manager and Change Manager
Jen is a Senior Project and Change Manager and joined TechAbility in 2021. She started her career in digital marketing before transitioning to digital project management and change management. She has managed projects for over 20 years across a wide variety of industries including education, manufacturing, FMCG and financial services.
Jen has a “make it happen” attitude and is highly skilled at leading projects and guiding organisations through change. She is a master at stakeholder management and is valued for her independent and pragmatic approach and clear communication. Jen (pronounced “Yen”) is originally from the Netherlands and has lived in Sydney since 2003.

Val Coin
Senior Project Manager and Change Manager
Val is a Senior Project and Change Manager, joining the TechAbility team in 2022. Having started her career in the hospitality sector before moving into event management she has over ten years of experience in leadership positions – creating, leading and mentoring diverse teams. Val has a valuable blend of digital, interpersonal and cognitive skills and she is passionate about lists, organising, and creating systems and processes.
Val moved into the Disability sector in 2019, building a successful track record of over 100 software implementations for NDIS Providers and other organisations in the Disability and Aged Care sector. Her technical expertise centres around business process analysis, project management, change management and bridging the gap between technology and business benefits.
